Jefferson(Jeffie as we call him), has a spinal cord injury. The vet thinks that someone maybe pulled his tail, stepped on or kicked him or maybe closed him in a door. Jeffie will never get better, and there is nothing that can be done to cure him. She felt that if this would have been taken care of when it happened then he could have recovered. She said other than his incontinence issue that he is happy and healthy and deserves a chance....so that's what we are going to give him. What do we need??? An adopter!! We need someone who will take care of Jeffie for the rest of his life. He will need to wear diapers. Jeffie doesn't have any idea that he is "special needs." He loves to play ball and acts like all the others in the litter. Jeffie is a nine week old Boxer/Pit/Shepherd/Beagle mix. Help us to help Jeffie find that very special person that he needs. Jango is the new guy with Bridge To Home Animal Rescue. He is a young guy at 1 1/2 years old. Sadly he has spent most of his life in the shelter. The last time we were at the shelter, they asked our volunteers if they could get him out for us to them. They said sure. They brought Jango out and introduced him to a 20 pound dog who he played and played with. He was very submissive to the other dog and very gentle. Jango is the biggest baby. He loves toys and other dogs. Jango would need a home with older children(12 and above). Jango is a Rottie mix who is house and crate trained.
