She is now testament to the phrase "dogs are born with 3 legs and a spare." Franki gets around great and is a happy girl. She is crate trained and appears to be housebroken. She is still recovering so right now her favorite thing to do is cuddle. She is dog and people/kid friendly (cats unknown). She is a little unsure of her ability to go up/down flights of stairs so we are working on that, but she still may need a little assistance/training. We are working on basic manners as well. 00927 | 10 years | Male | Yesterday evening we had several new arrivals including this big guy who we couldn’t wait to meet. One of our volunteers seen his picture online a few weeks ago and said hey I wanna foster him. So meet Bear. This 10 year old man has lots of pep in his step. When he arrived, he thumped his tail as though he was giving thanks for giving him a chance. Bear was abandoned by his owner. Left in a pen outside with no food or water for at least a week. A Good Samaritan saved him and took him to the pound in that town. Well not so fast. Bear was not highly adoptable. They told her more than likely he would be euthanized. She had to adopt him to get him back. She then called a rescue who took Bear in. Bear spent several months there. But yesterday was his lucky day as he made the 9 hour trip to Bridge To Home Animal Rescue. Bear is awesome. He needs a retirement home where he can live out the rest of his life sunning himself in a big backyard and getting belly rubs from someone who loves him along with all the treats he can eat.
