01624 | 1 year | Male | Shorty is a 30 pound 1 year old Doxy/Pit mix. He is a Doxy trapped in a short Pittie body. He’s 30 pounds of pure muscle.
Good things about shorty:
*Crate and house trained.
*Loves to learn new commands and has learned so much in the two months of being with BTHAR.
*Very easy to please. Will chew on a bone for hours.
* Loves going for walks and would love his new person to walk him on a few daily.
Although he does like playing with dogs, he is very rough with them. So we are searching for a family with no other dogs at this time. He absolutely loves kids, but due to him being so rough, kids over 10 would be ideal.
What would the perfect home for Shorty be? A young couple or person who are looking for a buddy. He loves men and women so a single person would be great too. Someone who will spend time with him teaching him new tricks and maybe taking him to obedience class where we know he will thrive. He doesn’t need a big yard as he will just hang with you if you are outside. He would be perfect for a work from home person as he will sit at your feet for hours taking a nap and chewing his deer antler bone. Someone who will take him for car rides which he loves. He gets along with the other dogs in his foster home but a meet and greet would have to be done with any potential adopters that have dogs because he can be selective. 01611 | 5 years | Male | Hi my name is Freddie. I found myself in a shelter in West Virginia. I was down on my luck when some good people came in and saved me. They brought me to Bridge To Home and said the good people there will find me the perfect family. But here I am almost two months later, and that family still hasn’t come for me. I am five years old. They say I’m a Lab/Pit mix. I weigh 70 pounds…hey what can I say I like to eat. I love playing fetch and will play as long as someone will throw the ball. My foster mom takes me camping on weekends, and I love it. I love taking long walks in the woods. My foster Mom says I walk like a champ now that I wear my easy walk harness. I love to play with other dogs, but I’m happiest being with my foster family where I can get all the snuggles. I go potty outside and sleep in my crate at night. I know some tricks so if you have a beggin strip I just may show you what I have up my sleeve. My foster doesn’t have kitties so we aren’t sure about that. I like people of all ages but with me being so big, they think I can knock kids down so older ones would be best. Although I love my foster family, I hope one of these forever families comes soon. This 8 month old girl with the sparkling blue eye knows she is cute and is ready to be loved on. She knows “sit”, does great in the car, and responds perfectly when called. Her favorite pastimes are: snuggling up to anyone & everyone, and looking at her cute little reflection in the mirror. Elsa is a social butterfly that would enjoy long walks and hikes…anything active together would make this young girl happy. We think she would enjoy being spoiled as an only dog. She is gentle for her age, 30 pounds, walks well on a leash, likes to chase critters, and is excited about other dogs. She would like a home where she can keep learning about being a good doggie. Elsa is more than happy to please, she only need someone to show her the ropes first.
